Sometimes you have to post something just because it's a great
photo. That's the case with the photos on this page. They come from Rich
Battista's Toy Trains on Tracks website.
Rich, an O scale modeller, has created a series of three videos about how he
built his Black Diamond layout. Although not Canadian, it features these great
CN models--which makes it Canadian enough for me!
The Black Diamond Railway a 33 by 13 foot layout. According to Rich, it took one
year build the room, three years to build the layout and one more year to build
a layout extension.
When he started the layout, he found it difficult to find the information and
ideas he needed to design and build a realistic model railroad--hence the
videos.
The two units are a CN ES44 and SD40T.

I had to do a search to see if CN had any tunnel motor engines. I guess they don't, per se, as these are sublettered for the DMIR, but it's really neat to see SD40-2T's painted with the noodle. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteActually, CN does have sd45s with the wet noodle. They're not authentic CN tunnel motors as they were accommodated with the purchase of dmir but they do exist.
